INVITATION LETTER
Dear beloved Indian
friends,
We are
absolutely thrilled to inform you that on the 27th of September,
Saturdayat Govind Gardens, near Green Park Hotel, Baner the 1st
Korean Cultural Festival of Pune “…
between Korea and India” is going to be held.
The 1st
Korean Cultural Festival of Pune is organized by the Korean Consulate General
of Mumbai, and hosted by Korean Association of Pune,and sponsored by LG,
HYUNDAI, POSCO IPPC and various other Korean companies.
Our main
objective is to share the Korean culture with the entire community. For which we
have prepared Korean cuisines, cultural performances, dance competition, flea
market and a lot more interestingprogrammes for other unique experiences. During the last few years
the Korean population in Pune has increased substantially. Flourished,additionally,
by numerous companiesboth Korean and Indian the partnership and relationship
between Korea and India has become stronger than ever.
Thus we openly
invite you today to celebrate and cherish the meaningful relation … between
Korea and India.

Programmes
K-Pop
Contest (Singing & Dancing): Open to all; Indian, Korean and other
foreign citizens.
Solo as well as group entries are welcome. Entries will be divided further into the following categories: Company/ Conglomerate and General Category.

Flea Market and Korean Food Festival: Many intriguing stalls will be lined up selling Korean
goods like clothes, shoes, accessories, toys, electronics etc. along with food
stalls serving Korean cuisine.
Sales Expo: A gathering of various Korean based companies along with
Indian organizations, where they will be showcasing and promoting their
products and awareness.
Cultural Exchange Programme: Citizens from Korea and India will swap and perform art
forms and cultural rituals from each other’s homeland. Play the Sitar and Tabla
being performed by Korean nationals while Taekwon Dancebeing performed by
Indians, Indian children’s chorus and Korean Ladies’ chorus etc.
Cultural Experience
Activities: The public will be engaged in various traditional Korean games and
competitions including a memory game about great Korean figures.
-Getting your names printed by ‘Takbon’ a traditional Korean print technique.
(They use embossed wooden plates to imprint the design onto a wet ‘Hanji’ paper with the help of coloured cotton wads.)

-Experience of making ‘Kimbab’ (Korean

Korean
Film Festival: Movies hand-picked by the Korean Consulate general will
be aired for the general public. Venue and date to be fixed later, but expected
in November.
